MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG AEX: PHIA) today announced the Canadian launch of IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, a web-enabled* image and information management system (CVIS) that provides sophisticated tools to access, analyze and share cardiovascular images and information anytime and from virtually anywhere.
IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, which is also available as an upgrade for existing Xcelera customers, marks Philips next generation of image and cardiology informatics solutions. Serving as a nexus of interoperability, IntelliSpace Cardiovascular allows all care team members to access data and launch sophisticated clinical applications, like IntelliSpace Portal and IntelliSpace ECG within a single workspace.
“At Philips we are committed to delivering innovations that can improve people’s lives. IntelliSpace Cardiovascular’s single integrated workspace produces a panoramic view of the patient’s care continuum across the entire cardiovascular service line enabling better care for cardiology patients,” said Iain Burns, CEO Philips Canada. “This new technology provides cardiologists with sophisticated tools for confident diagnosis and planning of patient cardiovascular care.”
Improving interoperability to enhance collaboration
By centralizing patient data from different areas of the hospital, IntelliSpace Cardiovascular helps facilitate a streamlined workflow and improve patient care. This technology allows all care team members to view the patient’s complete history spanning diagnosis, treatment and therapy, fostering collaboration and avoiding unnecessary and repetitive tests.
The vendor agnostic IntelliSpace Cardiovascular can be easily incorporated into the existing infrastructure within an enterprise, and help improve clinical workflow by linking users to advanced visualization tools for deeper clinical analysis, and launching into third party applications such as IntelliSpace ECG, third party PACS or the EMR to provide clinical depth without adding complexity. Its scalable design allows clinicians to adapt the solution as their needs evolve. Built-in echocardiography reporting features give cardiologists the ability to identify and reduce inaccuracies within reports.
Guiding diagnostics through Advanced Analytics
Population health management is a challenge that requires access to a broad spectrum of data, including discrete information about a patient’s condition. IntelliSpace Cardiovascular includes built-in tools for analytics, which compiles data into searchable and manageable information for physicians, administrators and researchers. The analytic capabilities provide insight into operational efficiency, productivity, and population health, allowing care team members to focus more of their time on delivering the best possible patient care.
Philips will be featuring IntelliSpace Cardiovascular at their booth during the Canadian Cardiovascular Conference from October 24th to October 27th.
