PHILADELPHIA--()--Sailthru, the leading provider of email and personalization software for the world’s top ecommerce and media companies, today announced that its Founder and Chairman, Neil Capel, will be speaking in an inspiration and innovation breakout session at the National Retail Federation’s Digital Summit, Shop.org 2015 (Oct. 5th- 7th). He will be joined onstage by Craig Schinn, Ecommerce Strategy Expert and former Senior Director, Ecommerce and Marketing at The Clymb, a Sailthru customer, as well as Chris Bye, Chief Executive Officer of Tonic Design Co. and Anthony Bucci, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Revzilla.

The breakout session, titled Designing for Emotion and the New Customer Experience, draws from Gartner reports which uncovered that companies which are currently investing in modern personalization are expected to outsell competitors by 20 percent by 2018. The session will focus on how consumer marketers must set a roadmap for personalization that goes far beyond product recommendations to include marketing content, cadence and channel in real-time to increase retention and maximize profitability.

Capel and Schinn will elaborate on both the strategies and tactics The Clymb used to achieve a 71% lift in email revenue, 175% increase in revenue per send and a 72% decrease in churn while managing to send 38% fewer emails. “Today’s retail leaders and marketers must be as focused on customer retention as they have historically been on customer acquisition,” said Schinn. “It’s one thing to grow; it’s another thing to be profitable and when it comes to customer retention, Sailthru isn’t just a technology company, it’s a competitive differentiator.”

Shop.org is hosted by the National Retail Federation, and will be held in Philadelphia from Monday, October 5, to Wednesday, October 7. Over 5,400 attendees are expected at Philadelphia's convention center to learn from and network with more than 280 exhibitors, and 100 speakers.

The two meet in this presentation, full of both inspiration and actionable ideas, where you'll hear about business development, content management, digital marketing, predictive analytics, and how technology – when wielded properly – can be used to actually humanize a shopping experience.
