CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) employees recently participated in the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) Gives 2016 Volunteer Day. In addition to volunteering, the company donated safety cabinets, shirts, gloves and safety glasses to ensure a safe experience for all event participants.
“Cintas is proud to contribute to the RFMA Gives 2016 Volunteer Day because it’s such a great organization and cause,” said Dave Mesko, Senior Director of Marketing, Cintas Corporation “This event provides a great opportunity for us to give back to local communities and meet new people. We look forward to it every year.”
The volunteer event is part of RFMA Gives 2016, an annual project dedicated to helping an organization in the city in which the RFMA Annual Conference is located. This year, the RFMA Gives 2016 Volunteer Day took place at an outreach center called The Journey Home in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Journey Home is a non-profit organization that serves the homeless, low-income and at-risk individuals and families of Rutherford County, Tenn. Whether it’s serving free breakfast and lunch, offering free laundry facilities, showers, clothes, weekly food boxes or a place to sit and read a book, The Journey Home provides a place for their clients to feel at home. Serving more than 42,000 meals a year, the organization also employs two community gardens where they grow much of their own seasonal food.
Volunteer duties during the event included interior and exterior painting, kitchen reconstruction, stair installation, warehouse organization and updates, landscaping and a staircase building project.

With the highest first trip resolution rate in the industry, the Cintas Emergency Repair Group completes 73 percent of repairs on the first trip, reducing cost, eliminating unnecessary trip charges and allowing organizations to get back to business quickly.
