They include Kent Elmer, Chief Financial Officer; Jim Kelly, Chief Revenue Officer; W. Bryan Smith, Chief Scientist; and Jack Lunn, Vice President of Professional Services. The swift recruitment of these skilled veterans reflects PokitDok’s technical leadership, unique culture and an enormous opportunity to serve large group providers, healthcare systems integrators as well as telehealth and other emerging digital health businesses.

- Following the close of an oversubscribed $34M Series B round of equity funding last month, Kent Elmer formally joined PokitDok as Chief Financial Officer. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) specializing in finance and operations, Kent has served as the acting CFO of PokitDok during the last year. Earlier in his career he held CFO roles at IQ Software Corp., Carecentric Solutions, Digital Furnace, and R.F. Solutions and participated in the acquisition and integration of more than 10 early stage companies while at Broadcom Corporation. Since 2003, Kent has provided CFO services to a number of growth-stage technology companies as the Managing Partner of TechCXO LLC, a technology focused management consulting firm. He received his Bachelor of Science from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
- Jim Kelly joins PokitDok’s Charleston, SC location as Chief Revenue Officer. He brings more than 25 years of sales experience to PokitDok, including a decade with CA Technologies, where he managed a division that generated $150M in annual sales. Most recently, he led Benefitfocus’ sales division catering to self-insured employer groups. He has an exceptional track record of recruiting and leading sales teams that deliver novel technology solutions to large organizations. Kelly holds a BS in Communications from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA, with a focus in Finance, from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
- W. Bryan Smith joins PokitDok as Chief Scientist. Bryan specializes in advanced analytics, machine learning and interactive data visualization methods and will be instrumental in extracting insight on financial trends and behavioral patterns in healthcare. He comes to PokitDok’s San Mateo office from Sapient, where he led the Global Data Science Practice. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Neuroscience Research at EmSense, where he created a predictive model of box office returns for movies based on biosensory and survey data acquired from those watching movie trailers. Smith holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Caltech and a BS in Neuroscience and Chemistry from the University of Southern California.
- Jack Lunn joins PokitDok as Vice President of Professional Services, bringing more than 20 years of experience in information technology, including a decade in healthcare. Most recently, he developed a Cross-domain Identity Management Server in .NET as a consultant to Okta Corporation, best known for its secure identity management and single sign-on technology. Before that, Lunn spent 11 years in engineering at Benefitfocus. There, he led the carrier engineering group focused on enrollment software and was responsible for the initial integration with HealthCare.gov. He received his MS in Computer Science from Clemson University and his BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
