PLYMOUTH, Mich.--()--Schwartz Investment Counsel, Inc., the investment adviser to the Ave Maria Mutual Funds, has announced that its President, Richard L. Platte, Jr., CFA has also been named Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the implementation of investment strategy for the Firm. Mr. Platte continues in his role as co-portfolio manager of the Ave Maria Rising Dividend Fund (AVEDX), the Ave Maria Growth Fund (AVEGX) and the Ave Maria Bond Fund (AVEFX). “He joined the Firm in 1987 and has established a record of leadership in addition to excellent investment performance”, remarked Chairman and CEO George P.
