NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Value Line, Inc., (NASDAQ:VALU) reports results for the first fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2015.
During the three months ended July 31, 2015, the Company’s net income of $2,119,000, or $0.22 per share, was 4.1% above net income of $2,036,000, or $0.21 per share, for the three months ended July 31, 2014. Total product line circulation at July 31, 2015 was 8.5% above total product line circulation at July 31, 2014. During the three months ended July 31, 2015 there were 9,803,734 average common shares outstanding as compared to 9,815,175 average common shares outstanding during the three months ended July 31, 2014. Income from operations of $959,000 for the three months ended July 31, 2015 which included additional depreciation and amortization expense of $104,000 compared to income from operations of $1,062,000 for the three months ended July 31, 2014.
Shareholders’ equity of $34,732,000 at July 31, 2015 compared favorably to shareholders’ equity of $34,439,000 at April 30, 2015. As of July 31, 2015, retained earnings and liquid assets were $35,138,000 and $15,850,000, respectively.
