BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical Telecom solutions, announced today that its SeeHawk Touch™ data collection and analysis software has been integrated with iBwave Mobile Planner and iBwave Mobile Note. Engineers can now design and test in-building wireless networks more efficiently, without leaving the field.
The integrated Android-based system seamlessly collects data, analyzes the results, and guides the network design process. SeeHawk Touch collects data from PCTEL’s IBflex® scanning receiver via Bluetooth®. It displays scanner data in real time for initial analysis. iBwave Mobile Planner provides more detailed analysis, including predictive mapping and design tools. The combined process allows engineers to make immediate assessments and adjustments on site.
“With SeeHawk Touch, iBwave users gain access to PCTEL’s scanning receiver data, including Wi-Fi. Scanning receivers deliver highly accurate engineering measurements that mobile devices do not provide,” said David Neumann PCTEL’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, RF Solutions. “SeeHawk Touch users will benefit from iBwave’s industry-leading prediction models for wireless networks,” added Neumann.
“SeeHawk Touch and iBwave Mobile Planner complement each other well,” said Dominque Gauthier, iBwave’s Chief Technology Officer. “Accurate data and actionable display results empower engineers to design the best network possible,” added Gauthier.
PCTEL and iBwave have teamed for a two-part webinar series. Stepping Through an In-Building Project Lifecycle features cost-saving techniques for efficient project management and actual demonstrations of how the newly integrated solutions streamline in-building wireless testing. The companies will also present a joint workshop at DAS & Small Cell Congress Europe this December in Munich.
