LOUISVILLE, Ky. & MADISON, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Improved health and more coordinated services for a growing number of Humana Medicare Advantage (MA) members in Madison, Ind. is the goal behind a new Accountable Care agreement between King’s Daughters’ Health and Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM).

“We respect that King’s Daughters has deep roots in the Madison community and has dedicated itself to bringing coordinated, personalized care to patients,” said Rich Vollmer, Humana’s Regional President for Senior Products in Kentucky. “It is very forward thinking of them, especially as the health industry moves toward taking care of people in a continuum.”

Humana has nearly 30 years of accountable care experience, reflected in results from approximately one million Medicare Advantage members that showed significant improvements in quality, outcomes and costs in 2013.
