SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DigiSight Technologies, Inc., a digital health company developing mobile solutions to empower patients and help physicians improve care and clinical outcomes, today announced that Nitin Karandikar has joined the company as vice president of engineering. Mr. Karandikar will be responsible for leading all software development activities for DigiSight, as well as designing and implementing new features and functionalities for the company’s proprietary technologies for ophthalmology.
Mr. Karandikar has more than 25 years of experience in professional software development. Prior to joining DigiSight, Mr. Karandikar was vice president of engineering for DeVero, Inc., where he was instrumental in organizing and leading the team that produced the company’s proprietary cloud-based electronic health records (EHR) system.
He has previously held key roles in software development for multiple health-focused companies, including at Intuit, as director of product development for the company’s Patient Portal solution. Mr. Karandikar also served as vice president of engineering at industry pioneer Epocrates. He was also the principal software architect for FixStream, Inc., a company developing secure cloud-based databases and real-time data analytics.
