Duralactin® Brand Announces Two Additions to Help Manage Inflammation in Dogs and Cats

Veterinary Products Laboratories (VPL), announces the addition of the new Duralactin® Feline + Fatty Acids Soft Chews and a reformulated Duralactin® Canine Joint Plus Soft Chews

PHOENIX--()--Veterinary Products Laboratories announces the launch of two additions to the Duralactin® Brand portfolio; Duralactin® Feline + Fatty Acids Soft Chews to help manage inflammation in cats and support healthy skin and a newly reformulated Duralactin® Canine Joint Plus Soft Chews to help manage inflammation while maintaining healthy joints and cartilage. Duralactin® brand products contain an exclusive ingredient called MicroLactin® that has been shown1,2,3 to help manage inflammation by stopping neutrophil migration during the inflammatory process.

Inflammation plagues dogs and cats in the many different organ systems. Classic symptoms are heat, swelling, redness, and possible loss of function. Dr. Amy Van Gels states that “Inflammation can significantly impact dogs and cats in a variety of ways. Therefore, it’s important to manage inflammation in order to maintain their health and wellness. For optimal health, this management should begin early on in the inflammatory process.”

Duralactin® brand products are a family of nutraceutical products launched in 2002 and have helped countless pets with inflammation while also working to support normal activity and wellness.

“We are excited to introduce two new and reformulated products to further compliment and enhance our Duralactin® brand product line,” said Betsy Watkins, Senior Director of the VPL division. “There are not a lot of options for cats to help manage inflammation so a palatable soft chew for cats is a great option for pet owners. Additionally, we have reformulated our Duralactin® Canine Joint Plus Soft Chews to reduce the number of chews administered daily to help increase pet owner compliance. We truly believe these products are a smart defense against inflammation.”

The active ingredient in Duralactin® products is MicroLactin® a product that is derived from milk. The benefits of milk are well known. These palatable products come in various flavored presentations like soft chews, pastes, tablets for dogs and cats and pellets for horses. Duralactin® brand products can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapies as part of a multi-modal approach and are available through your local veterinarian.
