SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BizX today announced that the International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA) would grant President, CEO and Co-Founder, Bob Bagga, its 2015 Hall of Fame Award. Bagga will be honored at IRTA’s 36th annual international convention at the Solmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas later this year.
The IRTA is a non-profit organization committed to promoting just and equitable standards of practice and operation within the modern trade and barter and other alternative capital systems industry, by raising the awareness and value of these processes to the entire global community.
Bagga has spent more than 20 years championing the barter industry, starting his first company, Barter Business Exchange (BBE), when he was just 22 years old. Bagga then went on to co-found BizX in 2002, which has grown into the leading trade exchange on the West Coast. Inc. magazine named BizX one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. seven different times, recording revenue of over $14 million in 2014.
Bagga has been extensively involved with IRTA, serving on the board and holding numerous positions including chair of the certified broker training (CBT) committee, convention committee, vice president and treasurer.
Bagga was also a part of the IRTA board that worked to create the universal currency (UC) system. In 2005, IRTA recognized Bagga’s many contributions and accomplishments by giving him the Outstanding Achievement Award.
