BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce Catherine “Kieffer” Petree and Alejandro J. “Alex” Velazquez have joined the firm’s Baton Rouge office as Associates.
Petree is a litigator whose practice focuses on general commercial litigation. She has represented clients in casualty claims, employee injury claims, commercial claims, class action defense, real estate/property matters, and regulatory matters. Petree received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2007.
Velazquez primarily advises business clients on general business and corporate matters. His transactional practice focuses on insurance regulation and compliance issues as well as commercial lending. Additionally, Velazquez has experience representing litigation clients in construction litigation, tort liability, products liability, premises liability, commercial contract disputes, and surety matters. He received his Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Civil Law, cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, in 2011.
