Moe’s Southwest Grill Inks 66-Unit Franchise Deal in Texas and Arizona

Leading Southwest Brand Set to Expand in the Southwest Region of the U.S.

ATLANTA--()--Moe’s Southwest Grill®, a leader in the fast-casual Mexican restaurant space, recently signed franchise agreements for a 66-unit deal set to bolster Moe’s presence in Houston and San Antonio, Texas and Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. The first restaurants are expected to open by the end of 2015.

“Southwest and Mexican food concepts are in high demand across the Southern region of the United States,” said Steve Corp, Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales. “These cities all have diverse demographics, so we’re excited to grow our brand in these areas.”

There is currently one Moe’s location in Houston and five in Dallas. Moe’s will debut in the Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona markets.

Moe’s currently operates in 37 states including D.C. Earlier this year, the brand celebrated the opening of its 600th location in Salt Lake City, Utah. Growth over the coming year will be driven by several multi-unit franchise deals, with new Moe’s locations debuting in Chicago, Cleveland, and the state of Iowa. Moe’s has attracted a record number of franchise inquiries in recent years due to its quality leadership, healthy sales to investment ratio, and exceptional company performance, with positive same-store sales for 21 consecutive quarters.
