NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that three of its business units have won James S. L-3 has been recognized with 20 Cogswell Awards for excellence in industrial security since 2005. “Industrial security is a key component of our national security infrastructure and the overall economic security of the nation. We are deeply honored to be recognized by DSS, not only for meeting its high standards, but also for demonstrating our ongoing commitment to safeguarding sensitive information,” said Vincent L. Jarvie, L-3’s vice president of corporate security. “I am very proud of our men and women, whose outstanding accomplishments continue to distinguish L-3 in a global environment where exceptional security practices are synonymous with business leadership.”
In selecting candidates for the Cogswell Award, a national review team ranks the closely vetted nominees through a competitive and meticulous process that focuses on consistency and innovation in managing well-executed security programs. DSS makes the final award selections.
