CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced that the wireless communications unit of C Spire, a Mississippi-based diversified telecom and technology services company, has selected its 6-Series BillPay kiosk for in-store bill payments.
Source Technologies’ 6-Series BillPay kiosk is a complete, automated solution engineered specifically for retailers like C Spire who want to offer their customers quick and simple self-service, in-store bill payment options. C Spire has relied on Source Technologies’ BillPay kiosk solutions for the last 10 years, but the company made the strategic decision to upgrade to the latest generation 6-Series kiosk to comply with EMV secure card processing standards, increase convenience and improve customer service.
“We’re pleased with the performance of Source Technologies’ BillPay kiosk, as well as the level of service they have provided us during our partnership, but we knew it was time to upgrade to the latest technology to keep pace with our tech-savvy customers,” said Richard Reynolds, director of Retail Operations for C Spire. “The sleek design and high-tech display of the 6-Series BillPay kiosk is unmatched, providing our customers with a more innovative, easy to use and reliable in-store bill payment solution.”
With a footprint at just over one square foot, the 6-Series kiosk can be placed anywhere within C Spire’s retail store environments without impacting displays or foot traffic flow. The kiosk features industrial grade, long-life components including the latest projective capacitive touch technology screen – the same technology pioneered by Apple for use on the iPhone.
“Utilizing a self-service bill pay kiosk provides C Spire’s customers an easy way to pay their bills without having to wait in long lines or for an employee to take their payment,” said Keith Hamilton, CEO of Source Technologies. “Consequently, C-Spire’s customer service and sales reps can focus on customer satisfaction and increased sales without having to manually process bill payments.”
Hamilton continued, “C Spire is the perfect example of how retailers have successfully leveraged self-service kiosks within retail environments to provide their customers with a true omni-channel experience, and the retail banking industry should follow suit. As financial institutions evaluate how to update the brick-and-mortar channel, it is worth looking at a strong player in the retail industry such as C Spire to see how creating a consistent experience for the customer can increase sales and build loyalty.”
