Givling’s Gamified Crowdfunding App Eliminates First of Many Student Loans

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Start-up Givling, Inc. is proud to announce that it has reached a major milestone by completely paying off the first loan in the Givling Student Loan Queue.

Givling’s crowdfunding trivia players completely wiped out Kevin Foster’s total student loan debt of just under $32,000.

Givling surprised Kevin Foster with news about his debt free status at his parents’ home outside Helena, Montana over the weekend, where Givling was delighted to tell Kevin they had paid off his entire student debt obligations with Nelnet and the Department of Education.

Givling is the first company to launch a gamified crowdfunding app.

Givling CEO Lizbeth Pratt, who bootstrapped the development of Givling, pointed out that her unique idea was initially a difficult sell. “When we first put out the call for loans, we could only convince 43 people to get in the original Queue. Now that we’ve done something that was deemed impossible, the only commentary is we’re too slow! We no longer have to convince people that Givling works—people are playing, winning and funding. Givling has exceeded expectations and we’re confident we’ll hit critical mass soon after launching our mobile phone app.”

“I thought I would have to spend at least five years, if not more, working hard to pay off my debt before I could move overseas. Having Givling pay off my student loans means the world to me. This opportunity is more than I could hope for, and I will now be able to fulfill my lifelong dream of starting an orphanage and safe house in the Philippines, that rescues orphans and children who are sold into sex trafficking,” said ecstatic Kevin Foster.

About Givling: Givling is the pay-to-play trivia game that pays off student loan debt and makes winners millionaires. The start-up is founded on a very simple idea: merge crowd funding with a game to solve a major financial problem and reward funders generously. Givling is currently authorized in 27 states. Student loan debt holders do not need to play to have loans funded, and a daily FreePlay is available to all players. After two years in the works, Givling launched March 2015 on Apple and PC-based systems and tablets/ iPads. Mobile phone release target is Q3 2015.
