BAINBRIDGE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MHG, The Biopolymer Company, released footage of CEO Paul Pereira’s presentation he gave at the RSB General Assembly on June 2nd. Pereira participated in the second panel, which was moderated by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and centered on sustainability trends for new generation bioenergy, biofuels and sustainable feedstock.
“While MHG is not a biofuels company, the biotech industry is similar in that we are both working towards conversion to alternate resources,” stated Paul Pereira, CEO and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of MHG. “Both industries require collaboration and imagination as a whole in order to reach the next steps, and companies working together is a fundamental criteria for success.”
Pereira gave a fifteen-minute presentation where he discussed MHG’s progress and the company’s plan for the next five years. He discussed MHG’s utilization of canola oil as the primary feedstock to make Nodax™ PHA and the reasoning behind it. The presentation also touched on the benefits the canola crop has for farmers and other possible crops that can be used in order to make PHA. Pereira touched on MHG’s relationships with Henkel, Solo/Dart, International Paper and Tate and Lyle and the impact of bringing product to market with these companies.
