BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Press Ganey (NYSE: PGND) today announced that patient-safety thought leader, Peter J. Pronovost, MD, PhD, will deliver a keynote address at the company’s 2015 National Client Conference in Orlando, Florida on November 11. The conference, which is expected to draw more than 2,500 health care professionals, provides a forum for health care leaders to explore strategies to reduce patient suffering and improve the quality, safety and cost of care.

Dr. Pronovost is the Director of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety at Johns Hopkins. He is a practicing anesthesiology and critical care specialist physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a researcher and professor at Johns Hopkins University. He also is a professor in the Bloomberg School of Public Health (Dept. of Health Policy and Management) and in the School of Nursing.
Dr. Pronovost received a coveted MacArthur Fellowship in 2008 and, in the same year, was recognized as one of Time Magazine’s 100 “most influential people in the world” for his work on patient safety. For several years, he has been named one of the top 50 physician executives by Modern Healthcare, which also recognized him in 2014 as one of the 100 most influential people in health care.
