LCG Appraised as CMMI Maturity Level 3 Compliant

Appraisal is part of the technology company’s ongoing momentum to enhance client deliverables in the Federal marketplace

ROCKVILLE, Md.--()--LCG, a leading provider of innovative grants management and technology solutions to federal agencies, has announced that it has been appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 for software engineering and organizational management by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute.

CMMI provides quality-focused organizations with a framework to achieve operational excellence. Appraisal at Level 3 indicates organizational expertise in process management, technical or operational delivery and organization change and development. Achieving this widely regarded standard demonstrates LCG’s commitment to continuous improvement, to rapidly grow its technology-based consulting services group and to provide enhanced strategic and technology solutions to its customers in the Federal government.

“This is a significant milestone in LCG’s ongoing mission to best serve our clients’ needs and recognizes the high level of maturity in our technology practice,” said Ray Tye, chief operating officer of LCG, Inc. “Achieving CMMI Level 3 appraisal is yet another step in our continued organizational momentum to deliver best in class products and services and highlights our increasingly sophisticated technology development processes.”

Over the past twelve months, LCG has taken a number of steps that have resulted in improving delivery to their growing Federal agency client base, particularly in the biomedical community. This includes merging LCG, Inc. and LCG Systems under the global LCG brand, expanding its management team to better support expanding business practices, and leveraging expertise across both its previously separated grants management and technology groups to support a broader range of client needs and services.
