NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Falcon Social, a leading social media management software platform, closed out the first quarter of 2015 with 25 percent revenue growth and a 20 percent increase in staff. The company also announced the relocation of its North American headquarters from Manhattan to Williamsburg, with aggressive plans to expand its footprint in the region.
Founded in 2010, Falcon Social set out to tackle the social media marketing needs for businesses, a market estimated to hit $18.7 billion by 2019, up from $8.2 billion in 2014, according to Forrester Research. Today, the company helps more than 400 world-renowned organizations in diverse industries, including Coca-Cola, Redken, Warner Music and Carlsberg, to listen, engage, publish, measure and manage their social media content through its platform.
2015 has already shaped up to be a monumental year for the Copenhagen-founded company. In addition to raising a Series B funding round of $16 million, bringing the company’s total financing-to-date to $25.33 million, the relocation of Falcon Social’s North American headquarters to Williamsburg is another big milestone for the company this year.
CEO and founder Ulrik Bo Larsen said the move was prompted by rapidly growing staff numbers. “We closed 2014 with 443 percent revenue growth, and a 63 percent hike in staff, and that was before we raised the new funding,” Larsen said. “We are now concentrating on talent acquisition, especially in New York, where we are substantially growing our presence, starting with our marketing, sales and customer success teams.”
Falcon Social opened its current New York office, located on 401 Broadway, in 2014. In less than a year, the company outgrew the space and has now found the room it needs on the other side of the East River on 77 North 4th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249.
Larsen highlighted that the new Williamsburg location is ideal for Falcon Social: “We're moving into a wonderful space that will be customized for our current needs, and will be scalable to accommodate our future growth. We also feel that Williamsburg is a great fit for the Falcon Social brand: up-and-coming, fresh and packed with ideas.”
Falcon Social was also recently featured in The Forrester Wave™: Social Relationship Platforms Q2, 2015, affirmation of its place among North America’s leading social media management brands.
