ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Interior (MoI) launched the #Ministry_of_Interior_Award_for_Innovative_Policing_Ideas hashtag on social media to introduce the Award and its objectives both regionally and internationally.
Major General Dr. Abdul Quddous Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Quality and Excellence Affairs and Head of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program's Team at the Ministry of Interior, stressed the importance of introducing the Award on both local and international levels, pointing to the sheer breadth of social media and its ability to reach all over the world. “Social media enables global participation in contributing suggestions, opinions, and even applications to participate in the Award. Through this, it holds the capability to develop and upgrade the Award to higher levels, and ultimately further its objectives,” he said. He also pointed that the MoI continuously pursues new methods of development and modernization as it looks beyond the traditional and routine methods by implementing modern approaches that are consistent with the reputation and distinction of the UAE in many fields.
He also mentioned that the award will attract the top creative ideas and projects from all over the world designed to serve the community and boost police performance. To this end, the ministry will be offering substantial cash prizes to the winners, in a bid to encourage competition and motivate them to provide the best creative and applicable ideas.
The Award includes 10 areas for potential entries: creativity in the criminal field, creativity in traffic, creativity in modern technologies, creativity in customer service, creativity in economic security, creativity in environment (green applications), creativity in human resources, creativity in social initiatives, creativity in support of human rights, and creativity in judicial security.
