HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Centrally located between Fort Smith, Hot Springs, and Little Rock Arkansas, this bank helps offset unavoidable environmental impacts to wetlands. Permitted in 2014, Dutch Creek Mitigation Bank will restore, enhance, and preserve roughly 15,616 linear feet of streams, 51 acres of associated riparian habitat, 36 acres of wetland buffer, and 123 acres of wetland habitat on the Yell County, Arkansas property. Dutch Creek is expected to generate an estimated 528 wetland and 104,133 stream credits over the lifetime of the bank. This unique property will help Little Rock and surrounding areas to grow and prosper with new development.
Dutch Creek will benefit eastern Arkansas by providing a natural resource that includes improved water quality, floodplain relief, enhances fish and wildlife habitat, and reduces silt and sediment loads. The bank is designed to be a tool to accelerate 404 permit approval for developers and keep projects moving forward. Dutch Creek serves: Conway, Cleburne, Faulkner, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Newton, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Scott, Sebastian, Searcy, Van Buren, Yell, and White Counties.
Why Purchase Credits?
