Tastemade Expands Direct To Consumer Offerings Across Connected TVs and Mobile

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Tastemade Inc., a video network built for the connected generation, today announced its launch on Apple TV. Tastemade, now available on Apple TV, marks the foray into programming dedicated to food and travel.

With today’s launch, Tastemade now provides hundreds of episodes of its premium original programming to millions of Apple TV users. Tastemade does not require authentication and offers instant access to its large, HD library of food and travel programming at anytime and anywhere around the globe.

“Our Apple TV launch is an integral part of Tastemade’s strategy to extend our products and services to consumers across all leading mobile and connected TV platforms,” stated Steven Kydd, co-founder of Tastemade. “Content consumption habits are changing rapidly, and Apple is at the center of this innovation. We’re excited to be partnering with Apple to reach new and younger audiences who are embracing over-the-top products as their primary entertainment service,” added Kydd.

Tastemade will also launch Tastemade TV, an always-on linear feed of programming designed specifically for Apple TV. This “lean-back” linear experience will be available exclusively on Apple TV with new blocks of programming published weekly. The initial block of programming celebrates all the great food and travel destinations around Austin, Texas—home of Tastemade’s mobile development center.

To complement its Apple TV roll out, Tastemade also announced the launch of apps on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that allow consumers to watch Tastemade programming anytime and anywhere they choose. The channel includes free and ad-supported content.
