Nuveen Hires Sub-Advisory and Insurance Markets Leader, Timothy Stegner

Stegner as Managing Director, Sub-Advisory Distribution. In this new role and reporting to Carl Katerndahl, Executive Vice President and Head of Nuveen Investments’ Retail Sales and Distribution, Stegner will lead Nuveen’s sub-advisory efforts with a special emphasis on variable insurance providers. Leveraging Nuveen’s Strategic Partnership Development initiatives led by Anthony Ciccarone, MD, Global Private Client Group, Stegner is charged with fostering deeper relationships with this important client community as part of Nuveen’s deep and ongoing commitment to being a trusted strategic partner in serving the needs of financial advisors and their clients.

Stegner brings a 20-year track record of success in building businesses to Nuveen Investments, having most recently served the multi-family office firm, Lattice Strategies. Prior to Lattice, he held several leadership positions with and driven growth for firms including BlackRock, Merrill Lynch, Pioneer Investments and Oppenheimer Funds. Based in Colorado, Stegner holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He has completed a number of professional education programs including CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), and AIMSE Marketing & Investment Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
