ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) in partnership with Sargent Art is excited to launch the 4th Annual 2015 ALFA and Sargent Art Senior Living Art Showcase, a competition recognizing the tremendous talent of senior living residents and the powerful resident activity programs at senior living communities across the country.
We encourage resident activity directors and executive directors to unite residents in a creative group project to demonstrate the community environment at their senior living residences. Residents and groups of residents may submit digital photographs of their artwork to the showcase through April 15, 2015 by completing an entry form on the 2015 ALFA and Sargent Art Senior Living Art Showcase official website.
“Art is a robust, enriching experience enhancing residents’ lives,” says Sargent Art Program Manager Bhakti Oza. “We are so pleased to contribute to community programs encouraging artistic exploration.”
While all artwork will be showcased online, up to 30 finalists will be posted to Sargent Art’s Facebook page where artists, their families and friends, as well as the general public can “like” their work. These “likes” will count as votes. The top six works of art best interpreting the 2015 theme “Life is Beautiful” will be selected as Fan Favorite winners. Those six finalists will win art parties and art supplies for their community, generously donated by multi-year showcase sponsor, Sargent Art.
