IDC Awarded GSA Schedule 70 Contract to Provide IT Advisory Services

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--()--International Data Corporation (IDC), a leading global provider of IT research and advisory services, today announced that it has been awarded an Information Technology Schedule 70 contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

IDC assists government policy, program, and IT leaders in making more effective technology decisions by providing accurate, timely, and insightful fact-based research and consulting services. Staffed by senior analysts with decades of government and IT industry experience, IDC's global research analyzes and advises on business and technology issues facing federal/central and local/provincial governments. IDC is already a longstanding and trusted partner to federal agencies and Fortune 1000 companies.

IDC is known for helping government agencies choose the right vendors to provide IT products and services. Each year IDC advises on more than $100 billion in IT procurements. IDC MarketScape reports are the IT industry's premier vendor assessment tool, providing in-depth quantitative and qualitative technology market assessments of IT vendors for a wide range of technology markets. These comprehensive assessments of market competitors, delivered in full-length research reports, and summarized in easy-to-read graphical depictions, provide buyers with the critical information necessary to make the most important technology decisions.

The GSA contract allows Federal customers to easily and efficiently purchase the wide range of IDC IT research and advisory services, including IDC MarketScapes. The GSA establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial vendors to streamline and standardize the process of procuring products and services for the entire Federal government. IDC's inclusion as a GSA Schedule 70 vendor enables all Federal government agencies to obtain IT research and advisory services at approved pricing and with license terms from a trusted vetted advisor.

"IDC is pleased to make our IT advisory services available to government agencies through the GSA," said Kirk Campbell, President and CEO of IDC. "Technology innovations like cloud, big data, and mobility are disrupting the way in which governments operate. IDC helps agencies navigate the change and assess and address critical technology issues."

In awarding IDC a GSA Schedule 70 contract, the Federal government has determined that IDC is recognized as a preferred vendor that is fully authorized to conduct business directly with Federal government agencies.
