CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The ScottCare Corporation, a cardiovascular solutions company, announces its new novi™ patch Holter monitor will be available in the U.S. for the first time at the 2015 Scientific Sessions of the American College of Cardiology in San Diego, Calif., March 14-16. ScottCare will be exhibiting at Booth #828.
The novi is a small, simple but advanced patch Holter recorder for use by cardiology practices, hospitals and independent diagnostic testing facilities. The novi allows clinicians to quickly and easily identify abnormal heart rhythms for their patients while minimizing the patient preparation time required by traditional Holter monitors. When attached to the sternum the novi begins recording immediately and automatically shuts off upon removal.
The novi improves patient compliance due to its discreet appearance and ease of use. The unit is less than two inches in size, weighs just half an ounce, is water resistant and uses a rechargeable built-in battery. The novi records for up to 72 hours utilizing a single disposable patch electrode that minimizes motion artifact, resulting in improved ECG quality and more accurate analysis.
The novi is integrated with ScottCare’s long established and feature-rich HolterCare™ software, allowing clinicians to easily record and report on patients’ ambulatory ECG and cardiac related symptoms. Current ScottCare customers who already own Chroma™ or RZ153+ Holter recorders will be able to quickly integrate the novi and its data into their monitoring workflow.
“The novi patch Holter is just the latest in ScottCare’s track record for providing cardiac professionals with advanced, trusted technology that improves patient care, compliance and satisfaction. We’re proud to make it available at ACC.15,” says Deepak Malhotra, ScottCare’s general manager.
