BedJet Makes a Splash with Major Retailers after Controversial Swim on ABC’s Shark Tank

NEWPORT, R.I.--()--BedJet®, the innovative climate control system for your bed, is announcing deals with two powerhouse mattress retailers, just days after founder Mark Aramli was spurned by the millionaires on ABC’s Shark Tank, in what was one of the most controversial pitches of the season. Aramli offended investor Lori Greiner prompting her to pull out of a deal and later tweet: “1st time I was ever really pissed off by an entrepreneur in the tank! #badtoberude.”

But the controversy hasn’t cooled the excitement for BedJet. Mattress Firm®, the nation’s largest mattress retailer, recently announced a deal adding BedJet to its line-up of top-name bedding brands starting next month.

And, Jordan’s Furniture, New England’s largest furniture retailer, will begin selling BedJet at its showrooms in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

Bed Bath & Beyond and Brookstone are also planning to roll out BedJet to their customers.

“We are thrilled at our partnerships with Mattress Firm, Jordan’s Furniture, Bed Bath & Beyond and Brookstone. These companies are among the top players in the sleep product industry and we look forward to making our cutting-edge technology available to their customers,” said Aramli.

BedJet rapidly heats or cools the space between the sheets, all from the convenience of a Bluetooth connected smartphone or tablet. Aramli debuted the system last summer at Las Vegas Market, one of the world’s leading furniture and home décor trade shows. A virtual unknown, BedJet was signed to a distribution deal with A.H. Beard, Australia’s largest mattress manufacturer.

Aramli bears no hard feelings about his experience on Shark Tank, “The Sharks are all very smart people, but even smart people don’t get it right 100 percent of the time. It was clear that they, as investors, just did not have their pulse on the bedding and sleep product industry. We were grateful to be able to demonstrate our product on national television and look forward to being the next huge deal that got away from the Tank.”

A graduate of UConn School of Engineering and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Aramli has a lifetime of expertise creating cutting edge technology used by NASA’s space suit program, BMW and the U.S. Department of Defense, among others.
