Capella University's Accreditation is Reaffirmed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)

MINNEAPOLIS--()--The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) has continued Capella University’s accreditation with the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2022-2023. Capella University (http://www.capella.edu) is a regionally accredited online university* that offers online degree programs designed to help working adults advance in their careers.

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent corporation that was founded in 1895 as one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region. The HLC is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

“The reaffirmation of HLC accreditation for eight years reflects Capella University’s dedication to our mission of delivering exceptional and innovative online programs to adult learners,” Capella University President Scott Kinney said.

Capella’s next scheduled accreditation reaffirmation process will be during the 2022-2023 academic year.
