TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba Corporation’s (TOKYO: 6502) Semiconductor & Storage Products Company today announced the launch of a new series of high luminous efficacy power white LEDs that achieves an industry-leading[1] luminous flux surpassing 160lm[2]. Mass production of the 3.5 x 3.5mm lens-package, “TL1L4 series,” starts from today.
The new “TL1L4 series” achieves high luminous flux of 160lm/W (typ.) at room temperature operation. Under conditions of Ta=85℃, operating current can be driven to 1A[3], and the luminous flux is improved by more than 60% over Toshiba’s current “TL1L3 series,” which contributes to improving luminous efficacy and lower power consumption for LED lighting applications.
Applications
LED light bulbs, base lights, down lights, street lights and floodlights
Key Features of the New Product
- Utilizes GaN-on-Si technology[4] developed for LED lighting
- 3.5 x 3.5mm lens-package
-
High luminous flux of 160~170lm at room temperature operation.
Luminous efficacy: 160lm/W typ. (CCT=5000K, Ra=70 @IF=350mA, Ta=25℃) - Hot binning tests for electrical and optical characteristics at conditions (IF=350mA, Tj=85℃) that simulates the actual set operations.
- Absolute max. forward current: 1.5A max. @Ta<55℃ (Tj<150℃)
- Color variation of nine color temperatures, 2700K to 6500K
