Digital Reasoning Strengthens Public Sector Leadership Team With Two Key Appointments

New executives bring extensive civilian and military experience to drive growth in human intelligence (HUMINT) analytics powered by highly scalable, cognitive computing platform

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--Digital Reasoning, a leader in cognitive computing, today announced the appointment of Kelly Collins and Dan Dzenitis to its public sector leadership team.

As President of Public Sector, Kelly Collins will be responsible for all aspects of customer and partner success to drive revenue growth for Digital Reasoning’s government business. Kelly brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise systems and software and will lead the collaboration with government agencies, policy makers and strategic partners. Kelly has held executive positions at leading firms including IBM, GE, BEA, SAS, and HP where she’s created demand, managed strategic growth and driven shareholder value. In Kelly’s most recent role as vice president of public sector at Bromium she was responsible for introducing strategic innovation in cyber defenses.

Also joining Digital Reasoning’s public sector team as Vice President of Business Development is Dan Dzenitis. As a former 20-plus year Navy SEAL and Special Forces Operator, Dan has extensive experience in the field of interagency intelligence and analytics. In his most recent role, he was recalled to active duty to spearhead the turnaround and build-out of one of DoD’s premier analytical systems. Dan also held other executive positions including at Northrop Grumman where his corporate development efforts led to the formation of the homeland security business unit.

“We could not be more proud to have Kelly and Dan join our public sector team where they will be key leaders in helping Digital Reasoning accelerate growth and adoption of our award-winning cognitive computing platform Synthesys to our most mission-driven customers,” said Tim Estes, Founder and CEO at Digital Reasoning. “Their deep industry expertise and understanding of complex mission needs will further accelerate the speed of innovative solutions to our customers and partners who are building next generation systems for intelligence analysis in the new Big Data and Cloud-ready environment.”

“Digital Reasoning’s ability to read, resolve and reason over vast amounts of unstructured all-source and human intelligence data aligns well with our customers’ mission and vision to deliver relevant intelligence from pre-integrated, agile solutions,” said Kelly Collins. “This is a great crossroads event for us where customers are embracing new technologies that can meet the challenge of information overload in a constantly changing world. Digital Reasoning is leading that movement of analytics into the Cloud through its partnership with Amazon supporting AWS and C2S. By turning the most advanced analytics into an on-demand service that intelligence, military, and civilian users can leverage, we plan to make connecting the dots a reality with our government and integrator partners. I couldn’t be more delighted to be a part of this watershed period with such a great team!”

“There is no greater privilege than having the opportunity to serve our country and then continue that mission into the civilian and private sectors,” said Dan Dzenitis. “I’m thrilled to be joining Digital Reasoning at a cardinal time when analysts require next gen tools to embrace advanced analytics and methodologies like activity-based intelligence (ABI) and object-based production (OBP), but affordably and as a secure, utility-based solution. This is a seminal moment to work with and through systems integrators and I’m looking forward to developing these strategic relationships and helping them to provide end to end solutions with a managed-services offering for true cognitive computing and advanced analytics.”
