MILTON KEYNES, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Teradici®, developer of industry-leading PCoIP® technology for virtual workspaces, today announced a distribution partnership with Getech Ltd. for sales of the company’s PCoIP Hardware Accelerator (APEX 2800) product line in the UK and Ireland.
As a certified distributor of Dell Wyse, HP, NCS Technologies, Samsung and VXL thin and zero client devices and associated products, Getech complements Teradici’s worldwide network of channel partners to extend the benefits of the PCoIP Hardware Accelerator to a broader base of enterprises in Europe.
Since its introduction, the Teradici PCoIP Hardware Accelerator (APEX 2800) product line has been broadly adopted in VMware Horizon computing environments. Teradici’s PCoIP Hardware Accelerator offloads PCoIP encoding cycles from the CPU, dramatically increasing the frames per second delivered to the end point. Altogether, this enables corporate IT managers to cost-effectively maximize the number of virtual desktops per server, while ensuring a consistent, high-performance computing experience across all users.
Today’s news represents an important step in the expansion of Teradici’s line-up of channel partners in Europe for sales of its portfolio of PCoIP products and solutions for VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure), DaaS (desktop-as-a-service) and remote workstation deployments.
“We’re delighted to welcome Getech to Teradici’s European partner ecosystem at this pivotal stage in our company’s growth,” said Andy Gee, Director of EMEA at Teradici. “A combination of their historical market knowledge in serving the UK and Ireland reseller communities and synergy with leading OEMs for PCoIP Zero Client devices, make them an excellent match for our business. Given the industry’s rapid adoption of our PCoIP protocol as the technology of choice for today’s VDI and DaaS deployments, the time is right for Teradici to expand our distributor network in Europe.”
“We’re excited to team with Teradici to take its business in the UK and Ireland to the next level,” said Guy Watts, managing director at Getech, Ltd. “As the leading distributor in the UK for the ‘who’s who’ in zero client, thin client, VDI and DaaS, we’re well poised to hit the ground running with Teradici’s flagship PCoIP Hardware Accelerator product line. This complements the existing line up of Dell Wyse, HP, Samsung and VXL solutions that already utilise the Teradici technology.”
Teradici has been recognized for channel excellence and leadership, and was named in CRN Magazine’s 2014 CRN Virtualization 50 for companies delivering the most innovative virtualization technology. CRN described Teradici as a company “changing the face of desktop virtualization.”
