Switchfly Accelerates Leadership with Record Growth in 2014

Company continues to expand across global client roster as booking volume and revenues rise at a rate that outpaces travel industry

The company expanded its offering from the Americas and Europe further into Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean while also growing its existing clients to new markets and channels.

Customer Growth

Recent customers that selected Switchfly in 2014 include Atlantis Bahamas, US Air (via the American Airlines merger) and Thai Airways / Royal Orchid Holidays (read the case study here). The company also renewed or expanded relationships with the following companies: American Express, Australia-based Flight Centre Travel Group, LATAM of South America, MasterCard, and Club Premier Aeromexico.

New Products & Launches

A new product offering that Switchfly developed and announced in 2014 includes Hotel Ecommerce, with Atlantis Bahamas providing a complete hotel search and booking compliment to the platform (read more about the new product offering here). Switchfly also launched new mobile platforms or mobile channels to customers in international markets, including: United MileagePlus and American Express (in India). Additional partners will be launching the Switchfly white label mobile product in 2015.

Industry Recognition

To top off a stellar 2014 year for Switchfly, the company took home two Gold awards at the Annual CEO World Awards. CEO Daniel Farrar was proclaimed the Gold Winner for The Visionary CEO of the Year in the Cloud Computing/SaaS category and Switchfly was awarded the Gold Award for Best Company to Work For. Cady Wolf, SVP of Global Sales, took home two Gold awards at the Annual Women in Business World Awards for the Innovative Women of the Year and Women Excellence Case Studies for double-digit year-over-year growth in the Internet/Cloud Computing category.

Talent Development

This year Switchfly saw a 10% growth of its full time company staff as well as a 60% increase in its outsourced staff. Among key talent appointments and promotions, Graham Blankenbaker was announced as Chief Technology Officer. Hong Tsui was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and Diego Dugatkin joined the leadership team as Executive Vice President of Corporate and Business Development. Additionally, Kevin Wray joined the leadership team as Chief Commercial Officer, working with Cady Wolf, SVP Global Sales, as she transitions into a Switchfly Advisory Board role. Looking further ahead into 2015 staffing, Switchfly has plans to add additional resources with newly established alliances in India, NIIT as well as in Mexico with Nearsoft.
