DENVER & OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Accuvant and FishNet Security today announced the closing of a previously announced transaction to join the two companies together. The combination is creating the nation’s premier cyber security solutions provider – one that will deliver the most complete set of information security and risk products and services to help enterprises combat the growing cyber threat.
The combined company will launch its new name and marketing brand in the second half of 2015. In the interim, as Accuvant and FishNet Security work to integrate their operations, the two companies will continue to operate under existing names and brands.

In 2014, Accuvant and FishNet Security had combined total revenue of approximately $1.5 billion. Collectively, the two companies have approximately 1,400 employees, have served more than 10,000 customers of various sizes across multiple industries, offer an extensive geographic footprint with 60 office locations across the U.S. and Canada, and have premium partnerships with all the leading security product manufacturers.

Ownership
A private equity fund managed by Blackstone is maintaining a majority ownership while Sverica International, Investcorp, and management of the new, combined company are all maintaining minority interests.
Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, Blackstone Advisory Partners L.P. and Goldman Sachs served as advisors to Blackstone on the transaction. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP served as legal advisors to Investcorp, FishNet Security’s prior corporate owner. Holland & Hart LLP served as company counsel to Accuvant on the transaction and Polsinelli served as company counsel to FishNet Security.
