LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shenae Grimes-Beech (“90210”) will join POPSUGAR Now, a daily entertainment news TV show, as a co-anchor and entertainment correspondent, it was announced today by Pop TV, which airs the show.
POPSUGAR Now is produced by women’s leading global media and technology company POPSUGAR. Grimes-Beech will kick off her inaugural broadcast on Monday, Jan. 12 (6:00-6:30 PM, ET/PT), recapping all the winners, snubs and behind-the-scenes action from the Golden Globes®. Pop, previously known as TVGN, launches under its new name on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Grimes-Beech will be one of three lead anchors along with co-hosts Allison McNamara and Becca Frucht on the new show from POPSUGAR Studios in Los Angeles. Shenae will contribute and report on topics such as TV, movies, celebrity news, fashion and viral social media posts. McNamara and Frucht are veteran POPSUGAR editors with a strong presence in social media.
“I’ve always had such a great time with the hosts and crew when guest-hosting for POPSUGAR Now,” said Grimes-Beech. “I was extremely honored and excited to be asked to be one of their full-time hosts! I have such great chemistry with Allison and Becca, and working with them daily along with covering fashion, music and pop culture is an incredible start to a new chapter in my career. I couldn’t imagine a better way to start the New Year.”
“Shenae is a complete natural for POPSUGAR Now,” says David Grant, President of POPSUGAR Studios. “She resonates with the POPSUGAR audience, who relate to her as a very successful, smart, talented and independent young woman.”
“Shenae is such an exciting, fresh-faced talent that we are thrilled to add to our lineup on POPSUGAR Now,” said Paul Adler, Senior Vice President of Programming for Pop. “She is joining the Pop family at the perfect time, as we are now the television home for her hit show, ‘90210.’”
“90210” stars Grimes-Beech in an edgy, contemporary spinoff of the iconic drama “Beverly Hills, 90210,” which will debut on Pop with back-to-back episodes on Monday, Jan. 19 at 4:00-5:00 PM, ET/PT and 5:00-6:00 PM, ET/PT. The show will continue to air the rest of that week at its normal time, Monday-Friday at 5:00-6:00 PM, ET/PT, as the lead-in to POPSUGAR Now.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Grimes-Beech is an international performer, personality and lifestyle blogger who began her career starring in hit television shows such as “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” She has shifted her focus to non-scripted projects, launching a fashion/music/lifestyle blog with husband Josh Beech and a highly successful unisex jewelry and apparel collection.
In May 2011, during her “90210” hiatus, Shenae took a six-week internship at Teen Vogue in New York City to further her long-time interest in the fashion industry. Shenae can also be seen in such feature films as “Scream 4,” “Empire State,” and “Sugar.”

ABOUT POP
Fans don’t sit at the outskirts of pop culture making snarky comments. They live right smack in the middle of it, sharing, creating, and connecting their passions with others. At Pop, fans finally have a destination that celebrates the fun of being a fan. Fans aren’t even fans anymore — they’re gladiators, tributes, human beings, and blockheads. Launching on Jan. 14, 2015, Pop will give fans a dedicated channel that loves being a fan as much as they do. A channel that respects talent over celebrity. A channel filled with optimism, passion, humor, and excitement. A channel that understands the fun doesn’t stop when the credits roll… it’s really just the beginning.
