The SABRE9018AQ2M is a performance upgrade to the first generation ES9018K2M DAC introduced in 2013. It delivers an unprecedented level of performance with 129dB SNR, -120dB THD+N, and low power consumption making it ideal for portable products such as smartphones, tablets, and digital music players.
Unlike conventional sigma-delta (ΣΔ) DACs, the SABRE9018AQ2M Stereo DAC incorporates patented circuits that deliver spectacular music quality with up to 129dB dynamic range and 0.0001% (-120dB) total harmonic distortion, free from clock jitter that is a common problem in digital audio systems. The 32-bit HyperStream® modulator is capable of 100% modulation and unconditional stability; the Revolver™ Dynamic Element Matching ensures performance over a wide dynamic range, while a Time Domain Jitter Eliminator removes digital jitter that causes distortion.
The SABRE9018AQ2M Stereo DAC supports stereo conversion from digital audio input in SLIMBus, PCM, DSD, or SPDIF formats of up to 384kHz sampling rate, in both synchronous and ASRC (asynchronous sample rate conversion) modes, featuring click-free soft mute, volume control, de-emphasis, and programmable zero detection with a low power consumption of under 40mW under normal operation and 1mW in standby.
