MUNICH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Electro-Mechanics(KRX:009150), the global integrated electronic components producer participates in Electronica 2014 Nov. 11-14, presenting its vision for next-generation materials and components as part of its convergence technology.
Among those to be displayed are components for smartphones, products for wearable devices, automotive applications along with diverse products for the IoT industry and integrated solutions.
Products for smartphone application include a camera module which boasts optical image stabilizing (OIS) 1.6 mega-pixels with improvised angling which is the most advanced in the word. With high-speed autofocus and OSI functions, it is possible to take crystal-clear pictures even in dark environments. In addition, there will be passive components integrated package substrates for high-performance application processor as well as modules for Wi-Fi and wireless LTE applications.
In the area of wearable devices, items like rigid-flex boards and wireless charging units for smart watches which make it possible to be charged regardless of the direction or location of the devices will be on display. There will also be multi-function sensor modules which provide UV meter and ambient light sensing applications in a single module.
As for automotive components, Samsung will present miniaturized bead with high impedance and soft-termination MLCC(multi-layer ceramic capacitors) as part of its solution chip packages.
Another exciting presentation is a pocket-type wireless charger which does not take up any space in an automobile, a perfect solution to providing interior comfort.
The greatest focus Samsung is placing on is a diverse range of convergence technology based on IoT.
Smart wireless charging is an integration of wireless internet and display technology, providing convenient services wherever you are. At the same time, it is a solution through which users can place orders and make transactions with ease. There is also a wireless lighting system which controls thousands of lightings wirelessly depending on the environment.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, which owns the best solutions in terms of electronic shelf label (ESL), is presenting full line-up of ESL including seven-segment type ESL and graphic type ESL which boasts detailed coloring and imaging. It also comes with an NFC-embedded ESL tag which promises to provide exceptional value-added services in choosing products on smartphones.
“Samsung Electro-Mechanics has the experience and proven mass-production capabilities for advances electronic components and we are providing solutions that are differentiated from our competitors. With our unique software and hardware expertise, we will continue to move into the European market, particularly with our IoT-based technologies,” said company CEO Choi Chi-joon.
Through its participating in this exhibition, Samsung Electro-Mechanics will be able to promote its vision for future growth and its indigenous technologies while organizing meetings with clients for products sales and investments.
