TechCrunch Disrupt Europe 2014 Announces Startup Battlefield Finalists

Brian Armstrong, Michael Acton Smith and Neelie Kroes among marquee speakers on stage in London

LONDON--()--TechCrunch today announced 14 finalists for TechCrunch Disrupt Europe’s Startup Battlefield, taking place on 20 and 21 October at Old Billingsgate in East London.

The iconic international technology and thought leadership event brings together early stage startups and world-renowned players in the tech industry to share ideas, innovations and insights—all leading up to the heart of the conference, the Startup Battlefield competition.

Startup Battlefield competitors have mere minutes to present their company to a panel of judges, made up of innovators, venture capitalists and influencers in the tech community. The winning team will emerge from the conference with a prize of £30,000, the coveted Disrupt Cup, and a place among the 417 companies who have gone on to great success from the Startup Battlefield stage—among them, global brands Yammer, Mint.com and Dropbox. After competing in Battlefield, finalist startups have collectively raised more than $3.5 billion in funding, 56 have been acquired, and one has gone public.
