2014 Conscious Capitalism CEO Summit to Present a New Business Paradigm That Benefits All Stakeholders and Increases Profits

RENOWNED CEOs AND THOUGHT LEADERS FROM INNOVATIVE COMPANIES WORLDWIDE TO SHARE THEIR INSIGHTS AND STORIES AT THE OCTOBER EVENT

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Conscious Capitalism, Inc. CEO, Doug Rauch, has just announced the final list of keynote speakers and practicum topics for the 8th Annual Conscious Capitalism CEO Summit at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort near Austin, Texas on October 7th through October 9th. Conscious Capitalism is a transformational movement dedicated to elevating humanity through business.

“We are excited that Steve Ells, Founder, Chairman and Co-CEO of Chipotle will be sharing his exemplary story as a keynoter this year,” Rauch says, adding that, “Chipotle is one of the great business stories of the past several decades. It deeply embodies the principles of Conscious Capitalism in an unexpected industry, fast food, with tremendous results.”

Ells joins nine other prominent business leaders who will share values and insights reflective of a new ethos in business – one that embraces a higher purpose than merely making money. “These inspiring presenters,” emphasizes Rauch, “will help demonstrate how higher purpose can bring higher profits naturally when leaders create value for all stakeholders.” The keynoters also include: John Mackey, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, one of only 13 companies that has made the list of Fortune’s ‘100 Best Companies To Work For’ every year since it began publishing in 1998; Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever, cited by Rauch as, “someone who is changing the way people think about big business;” Andrea Jung, whose work at Avon and now CEO & President of Grameen America has provided new opportunities for millions of women; and best-selling author, Tony Schwartz, Founder, President and CEO of The Energy Project. Schwartz’s recent New York Times piece, “Why You Hate Work,” was the #1 ‘Most Emailed’ article for days after it was published.

The program will also include practicums with a diverse community of luminaries. These sessions will afford significant opportunities to discover and practice new realms of innovation, employee engagement, servant leadership, courage, integrity – and the theme of this year’s Summit, “Congruence: How Aligned Organizations Attract.” Summit Chairman, Doug Levy, notes, “This theme reflects the power of authenticity and the central role it plays in conscious business.”

As a long-time Summit participant, Steve Leveen, founder and Chairman of Levenger has noted, “The keynote topics and breakout sessions are always compelling, but just as many rich and enlightening conversations take place within the hallways or over meals among peers who are passionately committed to becoming more conscious leaders.”

The Conscious Capitalism CEO Summit is open to CEOs and Presidents of companies with annual operating revenues of at least $5 million.
