Vallée co-founded Pythian in 1997, served Pythian as co-CEO until 2005, and as CEO from 2005-2008. Since 2008, he has led Pythian as Executive Chairman and has been responsible for the vision and strategy behind the company’s emergence as the leading global provider of 24/7 outsourced database infrastructure operations and related services.
In his capacity as CEO, Vallée succeeds Andrew Waitman, who leaves the company on strong financial footing to pursue other interests. Waitman will remain on Pythian’s board of directors and will continue to contribute to Pythian in an advisory capacity.
Further, Keith Millar will return to Pythian as Chief Revenue Officer. In that role, Millar will lead Pythian’s sales, marketing, business development, and service delivery teams and focus on expanding Pythian’s global customer and delivery footprint.
