TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Prodigy, movie director Kazuhiro Teranishi (34) has been gaining prominence in Asia as a young movie director from Japan. His new film "Tokyo: The City of Glass" has been chosen as an official selection for the 38th Montreal World Film Festival in the Focus on World Cinema category. The festival is slated to begin August 21, 2014. In addition to Director Kazuhiro Teranishi and Executive Producer Hidetsugu Ohara, lead actor ‘JK’ of South Korea and famous actress/comedian Tomoko Nakajima of Japan will be in attendance to take part in the opening red carpet ceremony and stage greetings.
This film also marks actress Tomoko Nakajima's comeback to film. She
magnificently portrayed the role of a University professor conducting
research on Yukio Mishima, one of Japan's literary masters, while
struggling with terminal cancer and gender identity disorder. The film
also features the young and handsome Maroka Matsuyama, ex-boyfriend of
Japanese diva Ayumi Hamasaki. He is known for co-appearances with a
myriad of famous artists and has been touted as one of the most
charismatic personalities in the dance world. Other gorgeous-looking
actors who are well known in Japan also appear in the many gay love
scenes. The style in which the film was shot and abundance of such
scenes is a first in Japan and it has been garnering an incredible
amount of attention.
Real footage overseen by Director Teranishi
himself for the “Tokyo Boys Collection,” one of Japan’s biggest events
for music and men’s fashion, will also be included.
In addition,
there will be a HumanPictures sponsored commemoration party held before
raising of the curtain on August 20, 2014 from 7 PM at “Bonaparte”
(443 Saint-Francois-Xavier Montreal [Quebec]).
Please join us for a screening of "Tokyo", a film that will hugely impact the movie world in Japan.
