Network Global Logistics Acquires Medical Logistic Solutions

Acquisition enhances NGL’s Integrated Supply Chain Solutions and further expands the company’s ability to provide services in the rapidly growing life sciences vertical

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--()--Network Global Logistics, LLC (NGL), a leading innovator in third-party logistics services and solutions, today announced that the company has acquired Medical Logistic Solutions (MLS), a leading national medical courier company. MLS’ services will be brought to the market as a strong value-add to NGL’s global end-to-end supply chain services and solutions.

The deal was effective August 6, 2014 and terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

“MLS has built a large multi-regional medical courier business focused on servicing the broad medical space. They service pharmacies, hospital networks, clinical labs, blood banks, donor networks, doctors, veterinary services and other health organizations. MLS is managed by some of the industry’s top minds and we are very excited to have them join our team and expand on what we have grown over the past 40 years here at NGL,” says Scott Riddle, CEO for NGL. “With the acquisition, NGL not only strengthens its market position as the leader in supply chain logistics and services, but our customers, and the market as a whole, will benefit from the increase in options and overall stronger logistics and supply chain services and suite of solutions. It is a very exciting time for the industry and everyone at NGL is looking forward to exceeding all expectations and to what the future brings.”

“It’s no longer just about life sciences on a national level,” says Rocco Sirizzotti, Founder and CEO of MLS. “We are excited to expand the services and solutions we have grown over the past two decades at MLS and to work with the amazing team at NGL to deliver the industry’s most integrated supply chain solution suite to leading organizations managing complex supply chains around the world.”

The life sciences vertical is one of the fastest growing segments of NGL’s business. The addition of MLS’ routed courier services will enable NGL to expand its service offering to its existing customer base, ensuring that the company will exceed both the current and future needs of its clients. Conversely, NGL’s broad range of services, including Next Flight Out, Air Courier, On Demand or Stat Courier Services, Service Parts Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution Services, and Freight Management services, will be a significant addition and benefit to the MLS client base.

NGL further improves its value proposition because MLS’ robust routed courier service exponentially expands the company’s route density and efficiency and also covers many rural areas across the U.S.; that combined with NGL’s existing national courier network will create one of the most efficient courier networks in the industry.

“It’s exciting for everyone involved,” continues Riddle. “Our customers, many of which are Fortune 1000 companies, appreciate the ability to single-source their supply chain solutions. And the significant expansion of services for clients coming from both sides significantly enhances our ability to do this via NGL’s ‘Integrated Supply Chain’ model.”

MLS intends to continue in its current form and doesn’t anticipate making major, if any, changes to roles and responsibilities across the business. Riddle will continue as CEO of the corporate parent, NGL, while Sirizzotti will continue to lead MLS as President of that division.

Since 1971, NGL has been an industry leader in supply chain and logistics services. With thousands of valued customers processing thousands of shipments daily and more than 550 forward stocking locations around the world, NGL has consistently delivered quality services and solutions across the supply chain for more than four decades.
