LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Little Live Pets™ Birds, a new line of collectible, life-like, talking, pet birds from Moose Toys™, swoop onto retail shelves next week. After a successful product launch at the American International Toy Fair earlier this year, the brand of chirping birds is expected to dominate the toy aisles this holiday season. Starting on August 1, Little Live Pets will be available at mass retailers nationwide, ranging in price from $9.99 - $19.99.
With features such as sensory touch, singing, chatter back recording, and life-like feather markings, each colorful Bird in the Little Live Pets collection is sure to ignite excitement and a sense of nurturing among children who will bring home these adorable friends this season. The line will include a Bird Cage where kids can perch their playful pets, as well as Single Packs, with eight different birds for children to collect in all.
“We are excited to see Little Live Pets soar into the market space this month, “said Paul Solomon, CO-CEO of Moose Toys. “Test groups have shown us that kids are charmed by the Birds’ life-like touch and feel, and the response to the chatter back feature has been so positive. We’re expecting to see great things from the Little Live Pets collection this year.”
Chris Byrne, content director for TTPM, is enthusiastic about the new brand. “The combination of technology and classic pet play creates a fun, interactive toy that contemporary kids will likely find appealing,” says the toy industry expert, also known as The Toy Guy®. “Plus, these are priced to be collectible, which is a first in this category and adds a new dimension of fun as kids build out their own virtual aviaries.”
Little Live Pets are already off to a promising start with their global launch in other countries, including the U.K. and Australia. The new line was recently named in the Top Toy Predictions list by Argos, the popular U.K. retailer, in which Argos anticipates Little Live Pets to be a coveted item among children’s wish lists. Moose has seen impressive sales in Australia, as product is flying off shelves, selling out in major retailers in two weeks. At this rate, production will need to speed up to stay in line with demand.
The Little Live Pets launch is accompanied by the introduction of Moose’s newest girls’ brands, Beados™ and Shopkins™, which were just introduced to the market this summer. The combination of three solid brand launches within such a small period of time is positioning Moose to be a key player in the yearly battle for the number one "hottest holiday toy."
A player in the toy industry for over 20 years, the Australian toy company opened a U.S. office in Los Angeles, California, last year to support their increased U.S. presence. Their expertise in product development, marketing and sales has led to their global success as the company’s products are sold in over 85 countries.
