NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HCA (NYSE:HCA), which operates 165 hospitals and 115 surgery centers in 20 states and England, today announced Chris Taylor, a 29-year veteran of the company, has been named President of Parallon, effective immediately.
Taylor has served as Chief Financial Officer of Parallon, an HCA subsidiary, since 2012, and he has served as interim President of Parallon since November 2013.
Parallon is a leading provider of healthcare business and operational services to more than 1,400 hospitals and 11,000 non-acute care providers. The company offers healthcare providers a complete range of industry-leading business solutions, which include group purchasing through HealthTrust Purchasing Group®, staffing management, supply chain services, project management, revenue cycle management and other business solutions.
Taylor reports to William B. Rutherford, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HCA. A search for a new CFO of Parallon is underway.

Before becoming CFO of Parallon, Taylor served as CFO of HCA’s TriStar Division, comprising 17 hospitals in Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky. In this role, he helped lead successful market expansions and process improvement initiatives that resulted in significant revenue and earnings growth for the organization.
Taylor is a board member of the Nashville Chapter of the American Red Cross and United Way of Williamson County, and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH). He earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan College and an MBA from Belmont University.
