Leaders Convene to Explore State of NC’s Tech Sector

North Carolina Technology Association to hold Leadership Retreat focused on sustaining market leadership, new sources for highly skilled workers, and mid-year economic review and forecast

RALEIGH, N.C.--()--The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) will convene leaders from across the state at their member-only, two-day retreat to explore the state of the tech sector. Being held on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 1 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, this conference will feature presentations on how companies are driving innovation to stay ahead of the curve and how they are using nontraditional sources to find the IT talent they need.

In addition, the conference will feature several keynote presentations. Steve Todd, VP of Innovation & Strategy for EMC, will share how EMC continues to innovate after becoming a market leader. Ted Abernathy, Managing Partner of Economic Leadership LLC, will provide an update on NCTA’s “State of Industry Report” project, an initiative to provide a clear picture of North Carolina’s tech sector. The conference will conclude with a mid-year economic forecast from Wells Fargo’s Senior Economist.
