NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Time Inc. and Net2TV Corp. are bringing Time’s signature brands to television. The initial shows — “PEOPLE This Week,” “The Week In TIME,” “Cooking Light,” “Inside Golf Magazine” and “Southern Living” — are based on Time Inc.’s popular titles. To create the full-length programs, Net2TV’s production team curates and packages existing short-form video from Time Inc.’s video library. See samples of the shows here: http://bit.ly/1iuKIQD.
The free, ad-supported programs are available today on Net2TV’s Portico TV service, which is distributed to more than 25 million viewers through smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sharp and Philips; on Roku-connected TVs; and Toshiba tablets and notebooks. The shows are also available online at www.portico.tv.
“These shows give our audience more of the content they love,” said J.R. McCabe, senior vice president of video for Time Inc. “We are always looking for new ways to let audiences engage with our brands, and these streaming, full-length TV shows do just that. Plus they’re available when and where viewers want to watch.”
“Time Inc.’s iconic brands excel at providing the high-quality, special-interest editorial people know and trust,” said Tom Morgan, president and CEO of Net2TV Corp. “These programs extend that editorial reach with traditional, full-length format television programs available through streaming devices, connected TVs, the web, and mobile devices.”
