SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PBteen, a member of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE:WSM) portfolio of brands, today announced the opening of its PBteen store at Tysons Corner Center in McLean, VA. PBteen joins its sister brands, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids, and opens Friday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. This will be the 17th PBteen location and the second combined Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and PBteen store in the United States. To celebrate, the first 250 customers to visit PBteen on opening day will receive a free gift and a chance to win one of four PBteen gift cards valued at $250.
The PBteen store will open with its fall 2014 collection, including items from the brand’s exclusive collaboration with Zio Ziegler, an internationally recognized artist known for his bold, over-sized graffiti-style murals in major cities around the world. The Zio Ziegler for PBteen collection takes the best of his signature street style and fine art background and re-imagines it for home furnishings, décor and gear. Ziegler’s artistic philosophy and passion to make art accessible are translated into a collection of bedding, rugs, wall décor, decorative accessories and gear in colors and patterns that make a room pop with personality.
Just in time to get a jump start on back-to-school shopping, both the PBteen and Pottery Barn Kids stores will showcase a colorful assortment of gear, including backpacks, lunch totes and accessories. The new 2014 PBdorm collection will also be highlighted in-store, featuring a variety of XL twin sheets, task lighting, storage solutions, decorative accessories and more to create the ultimate home away from home. It’s all designed to help teens create a room that reflects their personal style.
The PBteen store will be anchored around PBteen Design Lab, where teens and their parents can engage with the brand and its products by digitally creating a personalized room. Using drag and drop technology, teens can experiment with different room configurations and color combinations to quickly see their designs come to life on a television screen overhead. When teens and their parents visit the new PBteen store, they can expect a customizable shopping experience with on-site design specialists available to help teens choose their favorite patterns and styles to create their own distinct bedrooms and lounge spaces. Products available at PBteen.com can be ordered through the store and shipped directly to the customer for ease of shopping.
“We’re excited that PBteen is joining Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids at our new Tysons Corner Center location,” said Sandra Stangl, President, Pottery Barn Brands. “We’ve found success in bringing the brands together at retail areas in other cities, and now customers at Tysons Corner Center can conveniently experience PBteen just in time to gear up for back-to-school.”
Pottery Barn Kids will feature Design Studio, a resource for parents and parents-to-be looking for advice and inspiration to create their dream nursery, kid’s bedroom, play and study spaces. Offering complimentary expert advice on everything from room design to party planning tips, customers can consult with Design Specialists in-store or make an in-home appointment. Pottery Barn Kids is also introducing in-store monogramming services at the new location. Just in time for back-to-school, customers can monogram backpacks, lunch bags and more to get kids ready for school. Pottery Barn Kids first opened at Tysons Corner Center in 2001 and Pottery Barn followed in 2007. Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen will join Pottery Barn at its current location in Tysons Corner Center.
