CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCRA’s Alastar Software was successfully implemented at the 13th Annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The event, held in Manchester, Tenn. attracted over 100,000 people with 140 bands and comedic acts performing on 14 stages. Alastar was pleased to augment the efforts of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, state and local emergency management and the local police departments by integrating calls for service, regional transportation cameras, on-site live camera feeds, social media alerts and vehicle locating devices. Officers used the Alastar mobile tracking application on their phones to assist in coordinating responses.
Alastar offers wide-area situational awareness information that dramatically improves response times, increases coordination and allows organizations to more effectively monitor and protect their communities and large events. The software leverages a lightweight, stateless, web-friendly architecture to provide an all-inclusive, real-time situational awareness tool. Alastar makes information available when and where it is needed.
“The Alastar security software successfully complemented our efforts to ensure the Bonnaroo Festival was safe and secure,” said Captain Frank Watkins of Coffee County Sheriff’s Department. “Alastar was critical in integrating law enforcement, dispatch and GPS and video streams, guaranteeing a coordinated response.”
"We were delighted to support the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and bring our technology to this event," said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. "Alastar offers interoperability and mobility that perfectly complemented the safety measures needed at Bonnaroo, and we are pleased the event was successful.”
