RIDGELAND, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Telapex, Inc., holding company of C Spire, the nation’s largest privately held wireless communications company; C Spire Fiber; Franklin Telephone Company; and Delta Telephone Company; has named Chuck McBride as its Senior Vice President - Legal and General Counsel for Telapex and C Spire.
McBride serves as the company’s chief legal counsel, providing his extensive legal expertise and overseeing its attorneys in a broad array of legal matters affecting the company and its various business initiatives and day-to-day activities.

Prior to joining C Spire, McBride was in private law practice for more than 22 years and was a partner at the Jackson, Mississippi, law firm of Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes, PLLC, where he also served as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, as well as Chairman of the Litigation Department. His areas of practice included commercial litigation, antitrust, intellectual property, securities, contracts, communications and corporate law.
McBride is admitted to practice in the State of Mississippi, United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit and Second Circuit, United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Communication Law, Commercial Litigation, and Litigation - Intellectual Property; Peer Rating of AV Preeminent® for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability by Martindale-Hubbell®; and recognized as a 2013 IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property Magazine.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, McBride served on active duty with the U.S. Army as First Lieutenant, Ordnance from 1985-1988. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he received his J.D., magna cum laude, and Mississippi State University, holding a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, Defense Research Institute, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association and American Bar Association.
McBride is a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church, P.C.A., Ridgeland, Mississippi and volunteers with the Rotary Club of North Jackson and Mission Mississippi, Madison County. He is married to Mary Allen McBride and they have three children.
