LOS ALTOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Altos Solutions, Inc., a division of Flatiron Health, Inc., today announced OncoEMR®, version 2.7 oncology-specific electronic medical record, has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR Certification, which designates that OncoEMR is capable of supporting eligible providers with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). OncoEMR version 2.7 was certified on May 28, 2014 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) and is compliant in accordance with the applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. 2014 Edition ONC Health IT Certification is awarded to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 meaningful use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.
OncoEMR® version 2.7’s certification number is 140084R00. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The additional software relied upon to comply with one or more of the certification criteria includes First Databank, SureScripts, MedLIne Plus, SeeYourChart® patient portal, and Meinberg Network Time Protocol Daemon.
Physicians with OncoEMR already in use in their practice pay an annual subscription. There is no additional cost to practices with OncoEMR to upgrade to OncoEMR version 2.7. Oncologists new to OncoEMR or converting to OncoEMR pay an annual subscription and a one-time implementation and set-up cost. There is no additional cost for First Databank, SureScripts, MedLIne Plus, SeeYourChart, and Meinberg Network Time Protocol Daemon, maintenance, support, or upgrades whether currently using OncoEMR, new to OncoEMR, or converting to OncoEMR.
